He’s right. Houston had a massive industry base. I recommended to you to take a ride up 255 and pick one. But you’re talking about Crete. Still talking about Crete. Are you serious? I am in disbelief. There ain’t a mega carrier around that’s paying the money some of those local guys make in Pasadena. Crete is a joke compared to them.
Get up, shave everything off your face, and go get a job running to one of those plants/ refineries/ ports that they have in abundance. -
Those 'Air. Airgas, Air Products, etc. I sometimes am so tired that words escape me. I used to deliver in Houston a lot so just mentioned some of the companies I could remember, that's all. Good luck to you!

And that $280-$300 that day wouldve been your part btw, shouldve stated that

Now hiring a Driver!
Air pruducts is the only private cryo company in Houston area worth working for. The other four always have drivers quiting or getting fired for something petty with the driver facing cameras.
Southeastern freight is hiring line haul now. No company would post a job in December if there were going to hire in March. Old Dominion is the most sought after non union LTL in Houston though. The line haul drivers make 90k+
Walmart transportation is hiring at sealy. If you apply and get an interview. You can let them know you want local. But I give u fair warning besides the cell phone policy. There are a bit of back stabers there. But it's up to you.
Take your time in this search. Like I said some of these places that are hiring have high turn over like the Airgas opening you applied to.
Stay away from
Gemini if it isn't fuel
Airgas
Linden
Hiway Transport
Quality Carriers
Praxair
Matheson
Messer Gas
And there are others that are always hiring because no one likes it there. Or management is foul. The place may have asinine safety policies. Hey but there's no such thing as a perfect or good job.Just passing by Thanks this. -
@eddychris85 which terminal you applied for SEFL, the one in the north side by hardy toll should have an a opening. If you going to try Estes dont apply to the one in railwood as I used to work there and management is not very friendly towards drivers instead go to the one in collingsworth the terminal manager is really laid back as well as environment.
Also check out averitt as they are expanding here in the area and you might find openings for local work.
Dont forget to look up saia, AAA cooper I will tell ya xpo but recently xpo had a major laid off so steer away.
Southwestern freight is an LTL company the pay is all right but it will get you in the door for the ltl side and whenever the other LTLs have an a opening you can move around.
Good luckJust passing by Thanks this. -
