Greetings guys, just want to put out there I am looking into making the next level in the future and wonder how everyone started with Mercer, from owning a truck, who you ran for before, Lease or Buy, How much capitol you started with and flat, box or reefer? I am willing to talk on the phone to later on during those long boring runs we all get from time to time! Thanks,
Looking into o/o Mercer info, Army Veteran w 3 years interested.

Mercer does not lease trucks. They are a real trucking company for real owner operator's, not some big box screw you over lease purchase scam.
As far as capital, obviously the more the better, but at a bare minimum you could get by with a truck, and a couple grand for flatbed equipment. That's rolling the dice you don't have a major repair in your first couple months while you build up savings. Once you get the truck, and pay the 2290 tax, you will need another 2500 or so for flatbed equipment. And then obviously enough for living expenses for a week till you get rolling. This is not the best situation, but could be done.Battle Born and platinum Thank this. -
What about doing a real lease with penski or ryder nd signing on with Mercer
