I know you have mentioned that once before I belive you 100% .. you just seem to be 1 of a handfull of guys that have had good luck .. I'am glad you have .. I just seem to run in to a fair amount of guys that don't .. I have a friend that just spent 55k having a ISX rebuilt by a good shop in Des Moines.. I think his is a 2013
Like I mentioned early I did a engine swap on a 2011.. 388 that ISX that maybe could of been rebuilt but he had issues with it for the last 5 years and was done dealing with that motor.. I put a used Acert from Vander Haggs in it with 6 mth warranty and paper work showing it had 280k on a Platinum Oh gave 23k for it when I was done the total bill was 38,800 dollars .. now mind ya my labor bill was 4k of that which would I do it again for 4k .. No.. it would be closer to 6k if somebody walked in off the street
Looking to replace a blown isx15 with a used motor

I spent a bunch over the years on engines.
Sometimes i wish i still had that cash.Jubal Early Times, Big Road Skateboard, Oxbow and 2 others Thank this. -
I'm being told by the dealer that I need a either a new motor or a long block.
Spun a bearing and there's metal throughout....

Cummins ReCon parts and engines have gone through disassembly, inspection, cleaning, calibration and testing to ensure they meet the same specifications as new Cummins parts or engines. Cummins ReCon Remanufactured Engines and Parts | Cummins Inc.
You can request a quote online or ask a shop or dealer.Oxbow and Movingismylifeilovemoving Thank this. -
That looks almost like new. Do you really drive that?Oxbow Thanks this.

Yep, in the ‘10 KW T660.
Photo from last year, I’ve fixed the paint peel on the sleeper wing windows too.

I'm not up on Cummins but the CPL shouldn't make much, if any difference.
Unless I'm mistaken, the CPL number is just the list of parts used in the engine. If you're swapping a CM2350 with another CM2350 I would think it should be more or less a direct swap other than some ECM programming (which is inevitable).
If I'm wrong I'll definitely be corrected by someone.D.Tibbitt and Movingismylifeilovemoving Thank this. -
I'am not trying to rub salt in a wound but your kinda lucky cause .most the time they usually chuck a rod through the block ..atleast you gota block thats worth the core charge
IDK how you feel about a Detroit
But if you find the right shop that would do what needs done .. you might be able to find a decent use Detroit and swap out the ISX for a reasonable amount that would be cheaper than a new motorLast edited by a moderator: Apr 27, 2023

I see you added to the reliability! Just did that to the 871 I drive after it clicked over to 2500 hours. Runs like a striped a $ $ baboon and no more blue smoke. Actually no smoke at all.
