Aah - good deal. I had a similar issue when @staceydude donated me his unused boots and clamps, I didn’t tighten them enough, and there was a high pitch farting noise occurring - and not from me.
I think new clamps need re-tightened over a period of time to fully seat and seal.
My mechanic has made mistakes over time, he always covers the cost. Including a full set of injectors - the ones that FL supplied for an 11.1 Detroit that the mechanic didn’t check the part numbers before install, and FL wouldn’t honor. So I fully support him.
Loss of power after injectors adjusted and overhead run

Power loss came back yesterday wandering the hills of Indiana. Rechecked all clamps and found the hose coming off the Air Compressor going to the manifold had a burst spot. Was difficult to see with out my readers and flashlight. Replaced hose and clamps and it runs as good as it ever has. The burst spot wasn’t as big as it appears in the picture because I manhandled it getting it off the compressor.
blairandgretchen, Siinman, Ruthless and 2 others Thank this. -
Could you hear any whistling, or notice any more smoke with these leaks?Last edited: Jun 5, 2024
