Usually stay in the same area for deliveries. It's just 120 miles to first delivery.

My alarm goes off at 2am M-F. My start times vary between 3-4am (dispatch time). My days are generally 8-10 hours a day (If i have a helper its obviously less hours). I am usually back to the yard by between 10am-1pm. Off on Saturday and Sunday. Generally have 11-13 stops a day (800-1300 cases).

It isn’t, but it will scare some of the non-workers into not taking a run like that. You have about 2 hours of stem time, but by then you can usually knock the route out in 3-4 more.

Wow 8-10 hrs at PFG? That's surprising. Normally hear about them being the most grueling of the food service companies

Other domiciles probably are. But where I am, its very kickback. Of course, I don't make the same money as others do, but the trade-off is I am off early and on the weekends as well. You take the good with the bad.
