Ahhh, the Florida mini deer

 

So.... Down in the 40's in Florida this winter??

 

Na, we'll probably see mid 20's 4 of 5 times instead of 2. Down right fridgid...

 

Of the 10 I counted, 2 were this years crop, and a couple yearlings...but no obvious bucks, all does. But small means young and tender (for those who eat venison)

 

True, but I meant that the deer down there are just physically smaller than deer up here in MI.

FL deer do tend to run on the small side. Not sure if it's because of the heat during the summer that doesn't allow them to fatten up or just the large numbers in competition for food year round. When I lived in OH, they use to allow 1 per season, here there have been times that you are limited 1 per day during each part of the season. (Gun, bow..etc)

 

Warm for us FL tourist. (Since I am only home 30-35 days a year, I am a resident tourist), down right cold for the rest of the full time residents.

Never considered hunting deer in FL lol
