Lol guys the Petro in Gary is fine, patrolled by security and the actual police...have done a couple of 34's there and dropped my trailer and gone bobtailing. Yeah the TA and Pilot are dodgy, but you'll survive it

 

Anyone hangin out in Fargo? I'm up in the shop lounge area. Getting my truck PM'd and some little things fixed. I'll be hanging out here until Friday morning. I'm easy to spot. I'm the giant 6'4" 300 lb guy. You can't miss me!

 

Maybe this is just my young innocence growing up in nice areas, but I don't get this feeling at the Pilot. I've been there several times. I don't get it. Like is there a legitimate threat that someone could rob me during my walk from my truck to the store? I don't get that feeling. I may have a slight advantage because of my size, but I have rarely legitimately felt like I could be robbed anywhere I go.

Honestly, the first two things have as much if not more to do with lot lizards and beggars.

when I was at college, I had someone steal $800 worth of textbooks out of my car. They busted in the window in broad daylight on a busy street.

I was also approached by a con man just minutes before he and his buddy robbed some other guy: the one guy got the mark to show his money, and the second guy snuck up behind him and snatched it out of his hand.

The lesson I learned is simple: thieves and other villains are opportunists...don't give them the opportunity, and they will leave you alone.

They have parking and are generally quick to get you in a door and unloaded. #### nice people IMO! I've done a 10 there no problem.

 

For someone looking for company in Fargo, you sure are hard to get in contact with!
