Lol after less than a week in salt spray

 

How is everyone doing. Been a bit quiet in here. On vacation till the 2nd

 

Doing OK, picking up in Chicago after dropping a load from Maryland in Coon Rapids and then heading to Seattle.

Should spend new year eve in Missoula...

 

Warmer than expected in OH. Should be leaving Saturday morning headed back to FL, looks like the weather will be cooperative. Not planning to drive straight thru this time since the amateur drunks will be out in force, so I should be back Sunday, and should be rested and ready to go first thing Monday morning.

 

Had some extra time today and went to visit ARI Legacy sleepers today in Indiana on my way to Chicago, got a nice tour of the operation and saw some very cool sleepers and trucks.

It was interesting to learn their business is up and in fact they are expanding due to increased demand. Even some of us reefer taggers are using 108 inch sleepers (limits the load using a 579 to around 42K lbs with partial tanks) though the larger sleepers are mostly going to bed buggers and jet engine tuggers. It was also interesting to see how many flat bed's are using larger sleepers as well.

Maybe Matt will allow us to test this truck lol

 

That would make quite a scene at a Wal-Mart dc.

 

Would be interesting at a Dollar General Store.

 

Could you imagine the joy of trying to get into a dock like Hanover Park or Lewisville with a truck that size

 

Or even better, the MBM in Louisville, TX!

 

Or the Resturant Depot outside of Cleveland Ohio... or the Nortic Cold Storage in Atlanta....
