I got some reassuring news yesterday. After all the replies to my rants about the problems I have had succeeding here that were along the lines of it was somehow something I was doing incorrectly that was the root of the problem, I was starting to believe it was something on my end and self examine my way of doing things. Well, I ran into another Magnum driver yesterday, with almost 20 years with the company, that was doing worse than me. And, had many of the same issues with a lack of miles and f'd up loads. Now this doesn't answer the question of why, but at least it gives me a little more confidence that I wasn't screwing up. I mean, a 20 year Magnum veteran should know the how's, where's and when's to successfully operate here, and if he is having issues here, I guess the cause of the problems lie elsewhere. Maybe that is why we are getting an "efficiency coordinator" to help us.

Well I'm glad I'm lucky then which I admit may be the case. Met a long time veterern company driver turned owner op myself who says his miles are really bad too...of course he had great stories about the times he put dispatch in their place etc...
Sometimes I think things work out for some and they don't for others and someone who is effective at one company may not be at another. Myself and most of the drivers I pal around with are doing quite well at the moment - it will be interesting to see what the future brings, but in life and business change is a constant...gdyupgal Thanks this. -

Try talking to this new efficiency expert they hired(as I have no idea what they do, maybe getting more miles for drivers) couldn't hurt.

Doing a quick favor for dispatch while the truck is in the shop, pulling a dedicated trailer to Valley City and, frozen brakes with no tools...
Thankfully the trailer shop is close lol -

Sitting here at Supervalu in Hopkins, barely made their cutoff time after being held up at US Cold....picking up another load at Jennie O going to the Chi (#fixitJesus) then over to the East side of Indiana.
I am trying to figure out who be setting these appointment times between drops, I am going to send up a prayer for them.gdyupgal and truckerman75103 Thank this. -
mattbh23 Thanks this.
