This might be a good sign that spring is right around the corner. I am picking up seeds headed for Fargo. Looks like the farmer supply warehouses are starting to stock up.

gdyupgal, ncmickey and Zata40 Thank this.

Made my drop up in Mckensie, ND. Got an hour of detention. Big new Menards DC... full of robot forklifts and such...
Working on recap, so I couldn't get to Jamestown last night but I got there first thing this morning and got loaded a few hrs early.
Deliver Monday early morning in Charlotte NC, then reload later in the morning headed back up to Au Claire, WI...
    Then maybe a reset? Lol

    Crusader66 Thanks this.

And 99.9% of the time it's on your next check as long as the detention happended M-F (assuming the dispatcher for that zone didn't go home early for the week)

Well... I thought I was going to have a problem free day for once...silly me. Got empty in McCook in under an hour (always a decent place to deliver to). Hustled down to Plymouth IN for my reload, missing all the Chicagoland traffic that was inbound. Got loaded fairly quickly, scaled legal. Nick sent me my get home load early...and the sun was starting to shine thru the cloudy skies. Then karma had to remind me she is still around. Rolling across the wonderfully smoothe IN toll road, I was being passed by one of those contract mail trucks, the light brown Volvos from Minneapolis...he was just slightly ahead of me in the left lane when he hit one of those ski jump bumps aka a bridge...when out from under his trailer comes an iceburg. The dang thing was almost as big as a beachball, tumbling right into my lane. I brake as much as possible, and use as much of what little shoulder there was on the bridge trying to avoid it...but thud...it tumbled right into my drivers side bumper, cracking the #### out of the bottom.

I try to get him on the radio, but no answer. I got the trailer number, and called safety as soon as I could safely stop. All safety said, truck numbers don't help. Basically it'll be an expense out of Magnums pocket kinda like a deer strike. They wrote it up as a non-preventable incident and said as long as it's drivable, stop by Fargo in the future and have them replace it.

Happens to us all.... a high curb, a snow bank (that's what got me), a rouge snowberg on the highway.....
I missed a deer yesterday on 281 in South Dakota by 5 feet.... it was dark and he ran right out in front of me... today it was a coyote on I94 just east of Bismarck....
    #### happens...
Having that cracked bumper helped...oh well... what's another crack... #### it... I ain't Dr Dolittle...

Glad your ok though... and nothing happened that can stop you from getting another job...Magnum is good about the minor ####
