I understand that SSB. You have tried, no doubt. I don't mind the negative posts as much anymore cause you do occasionally post a positive. I wish you nothing but the best. I'm glad your leaving. You deserve to be happier and more comfortable where you work. Why stay somewhere your unhappy or doesn't fit your groove...
I wasn't implying SSB was who I was talking to in CR... That was just another unhappy driver sharing his problems. Everytime I said something he had another negative to share. I shared that because there are other unhappy drivers besides SSB. Magnum ain't everyone's cup of tea. Sometimes it's their fault... sometimes it ain't.
I know another driver who will have 4 killer weeks and then ##### about a subpar week like he's ready to leave.
I also know that having a lil cushion in the bank, no kids, and a wife that works takes away ALOT of the paycheck worries. I never take cash advances, I don't worry what miles are on the next check... cause if it ain't on this on it'll be on the next.

Well this is starting to get annoying, just got my fourth load this month that picks up a day after a delivery. Anyone else having this happen?

 

Ask for a layover day.

 

Dropping in Coon Rapids tonight. Then getting new batteries put in from the shop and heading to Aberdeen for Wednesday night.Got to love a plan when it comes together.

 

I did and I have gotten one for each load.

 

4 days in a month isn't bad all in all. $75 a day isn't full pay, but it's not nothing. I know that the earlier I talk to the regional dispatcher who handles my delivery area, the less likely I'll sit. But if you're deliverung in CR on a Thursday, you're pretty well out of luck til Friday. It's just the freight pattern there.

 

Yea... make sure to get a layover day if there is 24 hrs between delivery appt. and pickup

 

I hope nobody thinks I was mocking SSB. I was just making a joke about the drivers in general that ncmickey mentioned in his post. I didn't see a recent comment from SSB so I don't think he was part of this part of the conversation. I don't even know how he does his business.

Sitting here at CR waiting to go p.u. in Newport for Aberdeen. Load is preloaded..called and the lady said it won't be ready until that time. (just look in the comp lady). Anywho lunch time all these calculations got me hungry.

 

Don't bother going in early there. Every time I have been there even if early I was loaded at my appointment time. But once in the the door didn't take long maybe a hour or hour and half. If you deliver wed night/Thursday morning I will see you there
