Well here I sit in Aurora at the Flying J waiting for this beer load that was supposed to be ready yesterday but is not ready at all after calling just a minute ago. Ahhhh the joys of trucking. Oh APU still broke so I idle so I won't be a fudgesicle.

Hello, I am an experienced refer driver looking at Magnum. Started my trucking carrier with TransAm, now with a smaller family refer outfit in Omaha. Things are good with my current company but I live in Des Moines and an interested in Magnum as the have a Des Moines terminal.
Magnum is currently advertising for a "Maverick Driver" from the advertisement: "...
A Maverick will be set apart from the rest with a higher wage scale because of the dedicated service provided to the company. Qualified drivers must have a valid Class A CDL, 1 year of recent driving experience, a clean driving record, and Hazmat Endorsement. Doubles and Triples are preferred but not required to apply. Schedule is Sunday through Friday, home on the weekends. Driver will leave for a terminal on Sunday, work Monday through Thursday and come home on a Friday. Magnum will provide a sleeper truck to live and work in."
Anyone care to add any info about this position? I am a OTR driver and prefer miles to home time but it would be nice to spend more breaks at home. Seems like with Magnum this could be more possible.
I am working my way through this very long thread now but in the meantime, do the trucks have e-pass/ ez-pay for the weigh stations and tolls? Do you normally run all the toll roads?
Thanks! -
