I had always heard that the recommended amount is 8-10x of your yearly income. I have a total of $500k which is in the ballpark. Plus a little policy, if I die on the road, so she can transport me home in a box, or toast me where ever I croak, and Fudex my urn back home...which ever is cheaper.

And she does miss me...but her aim is improving

nothing...but it's not that I am taking my toys out of the sandbox and going home, it is just after 31 yrs of marriage (to the same woman), I have learned that sometimes it's better to shut my mouth and walk away and let things cool down rather than escalating the situation running my mouth more.

 

Snoqualmie was o.k. this morning. Wet most of the way, and a little slushy at the summit, but if you're coming thru this area soon, they're talking about up to a couple of feet of snow over the weekend.
