How long have you been interested in driving, do you know much about OTR?

no notice yet, I have a couple companies emailing back and forth trying to make up my mind, and still haven't given up on moving to a flatbed.

I thought I heard digital footsteps behind me.

Big G is at the top of my list, but...their insurance went higher than Magnums this year (but with a lower deductible), and I have to get my physical renewed before I schedule orientation.(they don't do them in orientation, or pay for them to be done). I am looking at a company out of Jacksonville, cheaper insurance per pay, but twice the deductible of Magnum. Pulling company produced products to PA, then pulling LTL loads to OH, ,IN or KY and the picking up another company load back to FL 10-14 days out, 3 days off. APU equipped...Prostars :(

the jury is still out on that.

I'll probably pass ya' out there some place.

I was looking at Big G a while back...there was a lot I liked about them, but their pay scale was a bit low(36cpm) to start.

Common dude, unless it's the International LT with a Cummins why would you do that to yourself! :) Go flatbed, future proof yourself.

Cool ask lots of questions and read as much as you can. OTR is much different than a regular job, it's really more of a lifestyle, to make money as a young driver you need to be out a fair bit, often 3 weeks at a time.

On the other hand you can see so much of the country, and with Magnum you don't have to take your hometime in you home state, you are free to become a paid tourist which can be very cool. If you're ready for the lifestyle change, this can be an awesome career.
