Sat at Southwire in Bremen for three hours this AM.....made it up here to Black River Falls. Dropping this load at the yard, hopefully I'll find an empty and go up to Wahpeton and head back to Walkerton, IN then home for a few days.

OAN: strange how my fuel card got switched to a different truck. That was funny.

 

When you go into wahpeton leave load locks in the empty trailer and they have scale on site

 

United needs more planes. I was in line at the airport concession stand getting my java and an announcement came over the United gate pa..."We're over booked by 2 seats, I need 2 volunteers to take a later flight...we will give you a $500 voucher for future travel". Plus they would put you on other airlines with earlier departures if it compromised a connection. Glad I am flying American Airlines

 

Wait....they not dragging people off..wow

 

Staying with my Uncle this weekend in Portland. He's retired Navy. Him and his wife couldn't have kids so when I was a little kid I was their rent a kid when he was home in Norfolk. I was their excuse to go to places like Kings Dominon and other places.

 

Hats off to American Airlines...made it to Nashville 10-15 min ahead of schedule...but the airport held us 40' from the gate because there was t'storms in the area and they don't allow ground crews to guide planes in when they might get hit by Zeus

On another note. Almost missed my connection. When I got all my confirmation info from the airline, they told me my connection was at one gate...when I got to the gate, my flight wasn't scheduled out of there. I checked my email, and they had sent me an update. Not only was it at a different gate, but a totally different terminal (DFW is HUGE). Made it with 20 minutes to spare. Note to self...always double check...then check again.

 

Or fly less often...just a thought. I'll wave as that Cummins freight train rolls by me @supersnackbar
