I'm in Utah getting unloaded now, deadhead to Wilder, ID tomorrow & then head to Memphis. Calling for winter snowstorm - even in lower elevations - Tue thru Thurs...ID, UT, CO, WY SEVERE WEATHER ALERT: Powerful spring snowstorm expected to hit East Idaho starting Tuesday night

 

I can't begin to illistrate how glad I am that I won't see that part of the world any time soon...I can't say as I miss that kind of weather. It's 79 here in Knoxville, gonna be 86 tomorrow with a 0% chance of snow

 

Yeah but running up and down the same roads...anyway you'll be dodging hurricanes soon enough

 

Since Magnum won't hire me without getting a bit of experience first. Would you all pick Schneider or Werner to start out with? Thanks

 

Personally, IF I had to decide between the 2 you mentioned it'd be Schneider. However, IF you could afford a decent refresher you would be way ahead of the curve and be able to start out at a better pay rate.

 

A four hour refresher is about 500 which only Schneider and JBS carriers will accept. I can't afford another 4k course again. Schneider have their own refresher but that requires you to commit to three months with them which isn't an issue but would prefer not to have to sign contracts.

 

Can you take out a loan?

 

Still paying off the last lol. No loans no contracts. I'll try contacting JBS Carriers. Seem pretty good on paper.

 

USA Truck, but I think they require a year...Schneider may be your best choice.
