Liking a bit of what I'm reading here. I have 3 years experience, no DOT chargeables and one speeding ticket (not in a CMV). Is this still an awesome company IPJ? And do they have dry van runs into/out of VA/NC/MD? Wouldn't mind the occasional reefer load home, but I prefer to run dry van.

A occasional dry van to help out dedicated but they are to Ohio or Wisconsin and not that often. I've never done one. The rest are all refers. We do a lot of MD and NC. Some Virginia.

Yea, it's almost all reefer. You get dry loads but all of our trailers in OTR are reefers.
I have pulled a dry van.... 1 time in almost 3 years

I did a few dry van loads in my 18 mos. One was a dedicated solely to get me to Fargo when I was in a loaner truck while my regular truck was fixed after the cam was replaced, the other was an out-n-back load for the Case plant in Fargo. Delivered tire rack returns in OH, pu tractor cooling assemblies out of MI headed right back to Fargo, sort of a 'keep you busy' load before my home load was scheduled to pu right before Xmas last year.

To put it simply, we are a reefer company, there are dry van opportunities that may fit better for what you want, it's a great company if you are willing to get in learn the lanes and work closely with dispatch to choose good outbound loads that put you in place for good inbounds...not everyone's cup of tea...

I'm not dead set on van, just not impressed with the six months I ran reefer.

We have a few drop and hooks that help, and we get detention after two hours, but in the end we still sit alot and most of the loads are live.
