We have a similar program over here called STRIVE. We can anonymously bring up changes that would help the company...but I haven't been here long enough to see if any of the driver suggestions were actually taken seriously and used, or if it is also feel good b.s. I suggested a few things, but I doubt they have enough lube to implement it...besides, they would have to remove their head first before they shove....never mind...

Knucklehead, ncmickey and Xeres63 Thank this.

Anybody know if the Federal Correctional Institute in Cumberland, MD has overnight parking? Might be too late for Loves when I get there.

Have no idea, however I would seriously doubt it! Call and ask for the OIC and they should be able to answer that question for you. (301) 784-1000

    Actually they have been...
I was the one who suggested Big G change their timeoff policy to encourage drivers to stay out more than 1 week.
Before, you could never take more than 2 days off at a time but I suggested the current plan of 3 days off if you go home every other weekend and 4 if you work 2 consecutive weekends.
They liked it and went with it...
I also suggested a .05 cpm raise but they didn't like that.. lol.. but they did implement the monthly bonus at the same time to encourage drivers to work more weekends.

    Winnyf1 Thanks this.

It takes me two days to unwind from being on the road. If I work 4 weeks in a row, why shouldn't I be able to take a week off?

    ncmickey Thanks this.

They cap it at 4 here...
Gordon capped it at 4 also and heartland made you clean out your truck if you took more than 3
However at Big G you get 4 after 3 weeks where Gordon only gave 1 day for 7 worked..

    mattbh23 and Winnyf1 Thank this.

That's why a lot of us are happy here at Magnum. We have a driver that will stay out around 8 weeks and take 2-3 weeks off. Liberal home time policy and the pay ain't bad neither!

    Winnyf1 and txtodd Thank this.

I think our time off policy is great. We actually get 6 days off a month if we go home every other weekend like I do.

I develop serious road rage and begin hallucinating after 3 weeks on the road.

    Xeres63 Thanks this.
