So about to do some night riding, I need to find me some index cards and start posting so that I can put them in view that I need to add two hours to my ETA's...got two of my three appointments changed and gotta fight to make this first one in the AM. Hey trucking life....gotta love it.

 

ugh not good, I remember breaking down in Nogales, AZ and being stuck in Tucson when I first started in trucking, hopefully they get you in and out and your on your way.

 

Back to work uggh.
Went camping Friday morning with my son, his wife, granddaughter, daughter and wife.
Just floated down the river in tubes and ate all weekend. Got back home around 2000 last night put my daughter to bed and drove the 4 hours to my pick up and went to bed here. Now I can get some rest.

Lol, sometimes it's a good thing to come back to work to rest up some! Sounds like a great time!!

 

Time off for bbq sent in. I put in to get back to Fargo on the 14th and back out 17th. It'll be my first break so that should do me good. I've got another event at Fairborn OH for the 6-8 Oct weekend. I know we have a customer there...can we drop trailers there as well? Staying at the Holiday Inn close by but don't want to bring a trailer in there. If not, I know there's a loves real close, too. Hope to meet up with some of you and get some BBQ and maybe you can point out some watering holes worthy of Magnum $$! C'ya!

Holed up at the Painted Canyon, ND rest area. There are wild horses at the bottom of the hill. Saw them as the sun went down. Two buffalo are wandering around in the rest area itself. One is currently 20 feet in front of the truck right next to the bathrooms. And I heard a rattlesnake somewhere out there in the dark too.

Which is why you should always carry a jug in the truck.

 

Deliver to Denver Thur morning then pick up Friday 1300 a couple miles away and that delivers in Rogers Monday morning. Going to see about dropping it late Sat night and keep running til bbq. Question about home time (or in my case off-time) requests. Do they get you in day before you request or day of? Mark said in orientation that they would get us in day before requested off time? I guess that putting in info (appt's, bbq, nothing, or flexible) in with the request would help? Thanks!

 

Put in for the day before you really want. They have till midnight to get you there.

If it's really important, put in for two days ahead. And then pray it don't snow.
