Like I said, there’s got to be someone else at Magnum you can call. This guy sounds positively useless.

At Magnum, the afterhours dispatcher is one of the regular dispatchers that either takes the company cell home, or forwards the afterhours number to their house. Then they use the remote access to the company mainframe to access load info. Or at least that's how it was when I was there, things may have changed

So there’s one single point of contact???? That’s pretty crappy in this situation.

Mclane outsources all it’s inbound traffic management that is “long or medium haul.” If the traffic management company can’t reach anybody at Mclane their really isn’t much that can be done unless they try and find you mother load. And being the weekend that’s highly doubtful.

Small companies run different than large ones. At Poly, it was done very similar...if you could get them to return your call at all. Even though they were a milti-billion dollar company, the trucking division was a small part of the operation and didn't have a 24/7/365 office staff. M-F and once in a while on Saturday. But on a positive note, you don't have weekend and afterhours dispatch bugging you at all hours of the night, or getting pissed because you didn't answer at 2 am like we have at Big G.

If misery wants company, Campbell Soup Napoleon didn't even have my load in their system. Was supposed to be a drop and hook yesterday, got live loaded today. After hours finally found somebody at the plant who could get something done, so hats off to him. Thought I was going to be getting a unwanted 34 for sure.

I have no idea as I can't see the bowl...it's a closed housing unless I'm looking at the wrong thing...which I wouldn't be surprised.
