For those who hate math, if you have a smart phone or a computer, google has their own version of excel. Im sure there are other apps as well that work like excel. You can set up an excel sheet to track all your miles and do a complete breakdown if you want. You can choose how complicated you want it to be.
All you need is the forum to total the begining cell through the last cell. You can even make it work using odometer readings.
If anyone is interested I could help them. Down the road I plan on making my own when I'm stuck sitting around.

Depending on where you live and what you want to make, hometime means 3-4 days per month for high earners, think more than $60K...of course this isn't true for someone living in the Twin Cities or Fargo, but if you plan on consistently taking say 5-7 days a month off you're earnings will suffer.
In the end this is trucking, sure we don't have the earn a day off for every week out rule and this allows many with suplimental income the freedom of going home more, but to earn is really often 4 out 4 off.
BTW when your truck has an issue and you have been working on it with the shop let Chad know and remind him if it changes your pay. Typically he adjusts the pay to compensate.mattbh23, Ray Strack and Zata40 Thank this. -

You guys are scary...I have never been working at a company where drivers try and help out drivers like they do here. Now we all need to meet up at Outback or other similar setting and have a meeting of the minds. If I get loaded in time, I might get to stop at Spiceland...finally!
1455 Sequoia Dr, Aurora IL...loading here now...no Gates and a nice hidey hole. Not too far away, on the NW corner of Randall and Oak St, is a self serve doggie wash I noticed on the way in. Headed fir Kernersville for tomorrow 1500 del. C'ya!mattbh23, Zata40 and Ray Strack Thank this. -
Once you are at Magnum for a year with no ‘incidences’ you get a 2 point safety bonus on your performance pay. That enabled me to work hard for 3-3 1/2 weeks and then take off from 5-7 days. I averaged between 10,000 and 11,000 a month. Made between 47-50 cpm.
I would shoot myself in the head if I had to run numbers like @Zata40 does. No offense... but that’s just not something I would do. But it sure works for @Zata40 ... so I ain’t knocking him. It’s just the way his thought process works.
I live a simple life and when I budget, I budgetnon the low numbers. So if I was told I could average between 2500-3000 miles a week. I was in the mindset of 2500. Everything else was a bonus.
I, instead, concentrated on time (clock) management and learning the lanes. When in Fargo or CR I would pick routes that I knew had a high percentage of long reloads. I learned to work the dispatchers. It got to the point that I would suggest routes on how to get me home by certain days. But that comes with time....and paying attention. -
