I'm a softy when it comes to driving at night. I'll stop when the sun goes down, if time warrants it. I also like to wake up early as opposed to driving into the night. I like there to be some daylight at the end of my day. But its pretty hard to avoid the night altogether.

But I do think the Mack Anthem is pretty sweet! -
I drive nights when needed and by nights I mean from sunset thru the night. Typically I try to start out about 3 to 4am but appointments dictate that. If I'm an hour away from my customer and the appointment is for 1000, I'll start my drive to make it by 0930. Time management... You'd be surprised how many try to keep to a set schedule and then wonder why they have little drive time left!
I heard about the steakhouse at Spiceland!! I'll stop by there and check it out. Delivered today at Kernersville and pick up Sat morning for Brooklyn center for Monday. As soon as I got those times, shot a msg to Shannon and within 5 min, she called me with a load out of Gaylord going to GFS Springfield OH for Wed. First time to talk to her! She seems to have her stuff together!! Now if Stan can work some magic so I'm not sitting over turkey day, that'll be good. Expecting a Coke load to MN or ND and see where to after that. Been running as good as I can while I can and planning on 3 or 4 days off between the Holidays. Like Zata, I'm trying to get my big miles in early in the trimester then when I think my average is high enough, take more time off in the last 6 weeks or so of the trimester. If I can average $.47 or .48, I'll be a happy driver. $.50 would be very cool but like @ncmikey has said, time off is important, too. I'll be at CR Sun evening and planning on eating Outback or Mexican... If anyone's around, let's make it a Magnum table. First round's on me!mattbh23, ncmickey and Ray Strack Thank this. -

What kind of inverters are in your trucks? Trying to figure out how to cook food without a bunch of crazy stuff.
