I think Idaho permits are good for a year from issue...if I remember right...both Hazmat and overlength.

Wonder if offering your favorite dispatchers a monetary gift could help you get one of the good ones?

Maybe not monetary, but I bet occasional gifts help. Try covering all the bases and just send them to all the dispatchers lol.

Not something I would do. Imho, do you job well and be easy to get along with. Don’t whine/complain about loads to them. Do it after you hang up the phone. Now, on the other hand, if you get a few crap loads in a row, then it’s time to speak up .... politely.

The good news is those that are remaining as planners have a good feel for what current drivers can or want to do. Since DMs are rated on their board's productivity, this could change up the way things are done. Talking with Tony last week, I think we're still going to be able to call planners direct for now. I'm hoping that doesn't change because the planners are the ones who make things happen...the DM is just a middle man, a messenger. Now, on to Atlanta from Green Bay with a 79000lb load to McLane. Any parking spots around there? Del midnight tomorrow so gotta boogie.

I’ve got to drive 2346 miles by Saturday morning. Already took 2 hours off the clock to get here today. Today and probably tomorrow will be “run the clock into the ground” 64mph types of days. This is just what I need. That week off set me back!
