Dude I drive 64 mph and still max out my mpg's you will be fine. You can do 10 hr days at 60 mph if it makes you feel better :D

I’m not really worried about the MPGs. Honestly, I like to be a little slower than everyone else. Especially on these long trips. Not much worrying about passing anyone... even if that’s rare anyway. Everyone passes me and I keep off the brakes and enjoy the scenery. Nice and easy. That’s what makes it enjoyable for me! If I can go 64 mph and front load the miles just a little, it makes me feel more comfy.

Besides... I’m practicing for when I buy my own truck. :) oh yes... I said WHEN. Lol

It's going to have a strange resemblance to Chicken Bingo.

First day down, guess all I have to worry about now is the road test. Would have thought that they would do the road test and wiz quiz on day 1 instead of day 2, and then all the videos and forms on day 2 morning.

This is trucking. Lots of things don’t make any sense.

First day of orientation is for all new hires company wide. Which includes warehouse kitting ltl or any other position not just drivers. To complete all the general company wide policies and for HR purpose. After that drivers will stay to complete orientation for their part.

Well got my load out of Des Plaines headed up to the cities, then a Newport to Aberdeen....not my first choice but I’ll take it (get a chance to hopefully get my AC&T chicken and Tastykakes pumpkin pie). Sent Stan a message and probably find out Thursday or early Friday morning where I go next.

Totally forgot about US-30 on this load. Lights. Traffic. Railroad crossings. Even had to detour around part of I-80 a little. So much for “running the clock into the ground at 64 mph”. LOL! Looks like I’ll be making up a little time Saturday morning. Good night all!
