State of Wyoming definition of a "light truck". If you get blowed over, you were in a light truck. I've grossed 78000 and had to stop at Cheyenne headed west because the wind was so hard from the north. And like another new guy headed to Bismarck from Ft Collins going north on I25...since the wind is coming from the West, he may be fine loaded with beer. But what about the guy with 15000 trying to pass him and a gust catches him and moves him or blows him over into the beer truck. Just gotta be smart. Loads can be late. But they'll get there. Good call, Zata!

So now we'll also have to wait and see who has what regions. Since Stan went to DM, who took his place or are they realigning the regions. I guess we can still call the planners so that's a good thing. This will be interesting to see how it all works out. Could be worse...could be having to deal with this and getting ELogs like so many other companies are doing!

So do you get some choices on which region you go to? I heard there isn’t any California runs is that true?

Drove on I -80 a few winters back, had a full box of meat from JBS. About the twin sisters it got windy, plus long patches of ice. The wind caught the trailer and started pushing toward the gardrail, where trailer went truck was to follow. Thank god for gravel on the shoulder. Got truck slowed down and headed to the next off ramp. That is where i picked seat cushion out of my butt cheeks.

Thank goodness California sucks! Sounds like you have quite a bit of freedom for being a company driver.

They also dont go to AZ and NM which I was sad to find out since those are two states I wanted to see. Johnny boots and I head out tomorrow, going to NC. Mountain driving right out the gate.

I’ve seen every state. So it’s all the same to me. I just want good miles. I would rather spend my time on the west coast instead of the east coast. Snow is better than ice. Have you never done mountain driving? Those are baby mountains out there. The Rocky’s are the big boys!

Good call, I’ve driven in steady 40-50 mph wind gusts through South Dakota with 43,000 and That was not fun.
