Just requested my DAC report. Will see what is on it. Better be nothing. Had no issues.

I want to be clear. Magnum did not lie. I admit to those things. I reported them all.
One big problem with DAC is there is no way to tell if I cracked my bumper and super glue fixed it or if I ripped my bumper off of the truck. It’s just reported as a preventable accident/incidence
And why report that 2x I was ‘hit while parked’?? What purpose does that serve?

This is what my DAC looks like... all a potential employer sees is ‘preventable accident/incidence’

And when I checked before I put in my notice, it was clean. Not till after I put in my notice did it get reported. So when I filled out an APP for the new job, I didn’t report them. My DAC is clean. Super minor stuff and I was hit while parked 2x. Didn’t know that would be reported.....
Just know you better report everything on your new application. I’m sure it looked like I was being dishonest....

I have never seen a dac report before this. I just requested mine as well to see what Stevens transport had to say about me .

After seeing this detail, my concern switches away from "why did magnum post this on your dac report" and my new question is "what kind of ***** company turned you down only because of this"? Lol

@ncmickey you try local LTL companies in your area? They are very forgiving, home everyday and weekends. Good benies and pay.

When I worked for jbs carriers out of Greeley Colorado they did this same thing. I had someone back into my side mirror at a truck stop while I was on home time and it was put on my dac.

All they are doing is taking your company folder of info on you and handing it to the lowest paid saftey person there and saying transfer this info to dac.

All that being said I had a non preventable and a termination for failing to obey company policy on my dac but company did say they would rehire me on there also. Having a clean cdl with no CSA points out weighed that garbage dac report where I currently work with Poly.

Definitely a headache but don't let that dac hold you back to much. Doesn't mean as much as I once thought it did.

Some guys try to cover damage they've done themselves with 'hit while parked'. Get a bunch, shows a pattern.

Think ArmyGuy is right, this sounds like just a standard file dump to DAC after someone quits to me. Nothing malicious or shady, just company policy at work. Would have been nice if they had given it to you beforehand. Guess a guy should ask for his file on the way out.

Now that you know what's on there, you can write an explanation for each item and note that you are eligible for rehire with Magnum.

I was under the impression back when I started that as long as you left on good terms, turned the truck in, and the incident wasn't egregious resulting in significant damage, Magnum left your DAC alone. If that was ever the case, when did that policy change?

You say that it doesn't mean much, but if someone were to try and leave and go to Walmart or some other job like that they would not be hired.

I have another friend that had petty stuff added by Magnum. He was going to work for another picky company. They hired him and then when Magnum reported their pettiness, he got let go.
