When I moved to Lake Havasu City Arizona everyone I met made a point of telling me not to drink the tap water. Even the Dishnet installer.
Way too much calcium or some such thing. I’m no chemist.

Anyone have tips for getting good mpgs? My shift game is drastically better as I challenge myself everyday to have fewer grinds. Right now im at 7.5 mpg. It was 8s until we got to the mountains, that killed it. Then out of the mountains i was hitting head winds all day. Then im sure winter fuel blends are now a factor.
Just looking for tips to keep in the back of my mind. Thanks all. We leave TX tomorrow to head to PA, 1500 miles.mattbh23 Thanks this. -

Wow! Been on home time and had a bazillion msg's to go thru.
The DAC thing, that's the MO for any company...why report on yourself? If and when you move to another company, keep in mind what happened because it could show up. I had some dings when I hired on with Magnum. A really short explanation if/when asked makes things alot simpler.
MPGs...I'm in a '15 and getting 7.4-7.6. Take a look at the score sheet for PBP and that'll give you an idea of how you're doing there. Someone else can verify but all those parameters are always changing period to period but still should be in the ballpark. 7.4mpg's was on the top end for a '15 last sheet I saw...Tony's got that info too...maybe the DMs?
First month I've gotten numbers and here goes...
Miles 11344
Layover 4
Layover Miles 1745.23
Total Miles 13089.23
Avg Miles 436.31
MPGs 7.62 (lol, also an M60 caliber round...I know that number!)
Dec miles will be lower after 4 days at home but, like Zata has pointed out, it's the average over the trimester that counts! Rather than trying to play catch up after home time, set yourself up to be over your goal before home time...alot less frustrating towards the end of the month!
Oh, and about the self reporting thing, my experience has been that any company will appreciate an honest response to an incident. Someone posted about getting repairs done outside but I would really caution against that. These mechanics and techs know the trucks. They'll know when parts have been replaced and if the shop hasn't done the work or had it approved, things could get nasty. Like what happens in the news...it's not the incident that gets people in trouble, it's the cover-up. Shoot straight and be honest. It goes a long way.
So, came out of the house this morning with a 230mi deadhead only to find the load had been cancelled...it's been over 3 hours and guessing I won't get anything til tomorrow. It was a brokered load and I didn't realize that til I tried checking in with a bad number but still...nuts!Finfn1372, mattbh23 and carramrod32 Thank this. -

Well had two runs from Fargo to Ohio and back and now on a run from Jamestown to Orlando for a Friday night delivery. Glad to be avoiding the snow back home.

Ran 600 miles today with 10.5 on the drive clock. Hit 2 different gridlocks today in memphis and knoxville. Not fun at all... really jealous of everyone with experience. That stop and go stuff is hell.
