    Talked to Mike about it right after I made the earlier post ..... He offered me regional but the drawbacks are no drop pay , no direct home time and it’s forced dispatch . So if you don’t mind being a hamster on a wheel then it definitely sounds like a winner .

    As an OTR guy I’ve noticed showing up to the various plants and being offered next to nothing
    and having to wait 2-3 days to hook to it . I’m going backwards .

    It’s looking good for the regional guys and so far not too good for the OTR guys

    But you said their equipment was crap, so skip that.

    They're paying .53 here plus .05 for hazmat. And the guy upstairs isn't an ahole.

    Area 28 should look around. Jobs are going begging.

    ( along with everyone else )
    Him and SSB had some issues but
    I didn’t stick my nose in that battle

    We have new Pete’s ... they are having turbo
    trouble... bunch of them down and 2 month
    wait on parts according to a fellow who was
    waiting on his to get fixed

    10 down days the man .... but you never
    know the truth around that place

    They pay that well for "some" people, and that's this trimester...get a bad driver manager/dispatcher and your miles suck, and pay rate goes down...I won't ever work for a company that advertises a cpm including bonuses...it's a bait and switch.

    Some of your "upstairs" people are...most notably the one who's 1st name starts with C.

    And it's hub miles, so, you may as well add 5-8% on Magnum's cpm to keep up with the difference in miles..there is nothing like getting paid for all the driving you do, not just what the computer says the miles are. It really does make a difference.

    No thanks on that forced dispatch on that stuff.
    You will get all those 4-5 Walmart Target stop loads that take 3 days to get off.

    What snackbar said. Its a bs sales pitch. Its only 53 cents if you max out your metrics to earn top pay of 50 cpm... then 3 cpm bonus for cruise control and no idle. The reality is youll be low 40s depending on experience and theyll say thats the lowest youll make. Then to get anything higher youll have to earn it by metrics. You will have to put some effort into your loads as well as I found out. Thanks to winny, he told me how to play the game to get highet miles. Kinda f-ed you have to do that...

    Keep in mind, there are a lot of drivers jumping ship at Magnum, and there is a reason for it....

    I’ve been here 3 years and the only time I didn’t max out pay was the first 3 months I was here till I hit performance pay.
