Magnum is a decent company. They have their issues like everywhere else.

I've been a little tough on them. They always treated me fairly and put good miles on my truck when I was in it.

I along with others don't like the path they're headed down, but it's not our company to make that decision.

Magnum sure has a lot of extra things...you have to do each month..to increase cpm... idle, cruise, etc..maybe working for company...with a fixed higher cpm might be better

Its largely easy to hit. The mpgs is the only one I hated. My idle was 3%, cruise 83%, avg weekly miles was 3k, no incidents or csa points, 100% service rate. The only thing that kind of sucks is having to work with outbound dispatch to maximize your miles.

Nah I have my moments, I am still here unless I win the school “advisory” board election, then will have to go local or regional. Will try to get a regional position created at Magnum, I honestly hate doing local work.

Probably depends on where home is for you, but the right local job has lots to offer. I have 2 job offers working LTL, one line haul, one p&d. After you reach full pay scale, money can be just as good with great benefits and home daily.

Officially turned in my truck and left the building. Going to miss some people.

    Hello,
What kind of miles could someone starting out expect to get a week?
    What rate of pay?
What kind of money could someone starting out expect to make a week?

I hope you don't mind me asking My company has me in a 2019 Pete 579 automatic right now and I love it.
Very sweet truck. Our Peoplenet sucks doesn't log miles, Change duty status, icon gray, have to power down tablet then back on as well as other issues.

Absolutely true, especially right now with the economy rolling like it is...many of my 1 week paychecks here are more than most of my 2 week paychecks at Magnum

I’ve run over 13k miles each of the last 2 months.
Bring home about $2200 after taxes, 401 k contributions, all insurances and HSA contribution. every 2 weeks.

Yeah. I made sure to make a few calls and thank everyone for the whole process and giving me the opportunity to work for magnum and treating me so good. I got a call from Tony and Chad saying the door is always open if I want to come back.

I really am grateful for this opportunity. Its really easy to gripe at times, trucking isnt perfect, in the end, Magnum is a good company.

    Zata40 Thanks this.
