Saw a Knight driver use that one day in Oregon.

    Scanned every tag.

Never looked at a dang thing...

Lol, all it means is the driver went to the designated zones. It's really funny to think something like that helps with DOT. It'll work for a few months then the law enforcement community will figure it out and it will mean nothing...nothing except a salesman who could sell ice to an Eskimo made another sale. Of course, just logging time doesn't mean anything either. Then again, with a forward facing camera should something happen after a pretrip was done, would DOT go back to the PTI and see what happened, ie, was the hood even raised? Maybe not DOT but a truck chasing lawyer would...

Forward facing cameras are only “suppose” to start recording once the yellow knob is pushed in.

Lol, lots of things are "supposed" to happen til they don't. Maybe it's from my 15 years in our US Air Force but what they say and what they mean can be 180 from back other!

OAN, I know there's a few new drivers on the thread so thought I'd post this year's roundup if if chain laws by state. Bottom line, to be legal in all states, 4 sets of chains must be carried. Washington state isto blame for that because they require 2 spare chains should the ones in use get lost or damaged. I'm guessing Magnum hasn't changed its stance on chaining up (ops would rather you parked) but we still should know how to put them on in case you get surprised somewhere. For me, since I started driving in Jan 95, I've had to put chains on more to get out of a sloped dock or to get through a parking lot than on the road. Carrying a jug of snow/ice melt can be a huge help. And don't forget speed limit with chains on is 25mph. Here ya go!

The way it was explained to me, the Saturdays between pay days (by COB) are the cut offs. But I couldn't tell you what COB is on a Saturday. 11am maybe?

I know they like it to be scanned in within 24 hours of delivering.

Hi everyone! New hire here. I'll be starting in December. 11 1/2 years with my current company so I'm a bit nervous about the change. I'll be going regional from the Coon Rapids location. Does anybody have any advice or anything I should know?

I'm pretty sure all of us are OTR/LTD drivers. But of course you're welcome! I've been wrong before, but you may be our first/only regional driver on the forum.

Can't say I know much of anything about how the regional stuff works. But welcome to the thread, and welcome to Magnum nonetheless!
