Oh well... sitting on the off ramp now. Too tired to move. Been up a while.

Had a guy try to blame damage on his trailer on me. Said I backed into him. Make long story short. Cop said it doesnt look good for him. I then asked her to make sure the report says he wasn’t here. Showed up while I was backing. She said: You mean his truck wasn’t hooked up like that? (He had hooked up the trailer while waiting for her) I said no. Tractor was gone. He had dropped the trailer there. She then got really mad. And wouldn’t say anything. I rationalize he lied to her and told her he was sitting there the whole time. Hooked to the trailer. Our drive cam will verify he’s lying.
Another gal who works there. She talked to me. Wondering what was going on with the cop? Told her. She said that happens a lot there. They have guys who will take pictures of the trailers before backing. Got proof of previous damage. .... Yes it’s kinda tight there. But nothing compared to most truck stops. I thought it was fun. Was proud of myself. Thought I did a great job backing.

Western, spiceland is a good mid point to stop if you like Indian food. There is a buffet there. Shower credits work at mr fuel last i knew. Plenty of parking...

You are correct on the Mr Fuel thing. There is also that Montgomery’s Steak House that so many Magnum drivers have commented on.

Sure appreciate the thoughts on Spiceland. I love buffets.
I’m running a little odd. Needed to get fuel. And putting it off as long as I could. Try to get better northern fuel. Doctor it up. I’m 8 hours from Romeoville. Taking 10 here.

Just as an FYI, drove for three years with Magnum and I never added anything in the truck...the APU’s and winter pack do an excellent job of keeping things flowing. Anything near zero and I idled, otherwise I just drove it and got winter blend when I was up north.

Zangief, Zata40 and WesternPlains Thank this.

He's in Romeoville, where 0° is gonna be like a summer day compared to what he has for weather...idle and tach that sucker up...and maybe a piece of plastic or cardboard in front of the radiator. Wind chills will be pushing -50 before this blast of winter it thru there.

Lol well to be fair that’s below 0. Yeah the Magnum truck handled that weather better than my current truck. For whatever reason they spent $192K on the darn thing and didn’t buy winter fronts for them. I’m set up with mounts in the grill, just no front.

Of course I try to stay south of the tundra, but at times they find a way to get me back up there...

    WesternPlains Thanks this.

You work for a company out of Duluth, it’s only fair you stay in the tundra with the rest of us.

Lowlite, WesternPlains and Xeres63 Thank this.
