Na, my peoplenet is the same as the rest. My OEM truck nav system is the thing waiting for some software update. Not that I need it, I have my old fashioned atlas, google maps and a regular old GPS. I was looking forward to playing music from my phone without an aux wire.

So I spoke to Paul...seemed like a good guy...very straightforward. I asked him about the metrics for the bonus pay. He explained that it factors in miles driven, safety, performance, on time deliveries and mpg. He said he didn't have the specific metrics ready on hand though. My question is can any of you tell me specific goals that need to be met to hit the top pay(50 cpm)? Also how achievable are their mpg expectations? I would have thought with trucks limited at 64 it would be fairly easy to get good mileage, depending where you are running of course

As a newer driver it will take a few months to achieve the run rate to go for $.50, however $.47 will be achievable. The mileage can be the hardest factor depending on where you live and your hometime expectations.

Assuming you have no incidents, are on time and complete your safety quizzes (online) the mileage targets are realistic so long as you shift well and use cruise. They vary depending on the year truck and its transmission, I have done better than target with both my 14 and my 15. The top mileage payout is at 11500 average over a 4 month period.

    Hope that helps

Thanks for the info! I was averaging about 7.1mpg with a volvo 730 d13 13 speed...mostly from PA/NJ out to Midwest and back with a little NE thrown in. Of course VA/WV on I68/I70 would kill that a little lol. I have the ishift now and I am seeing maybe .1-.2 better. From what Paul was telling me, it sounded like they were looking for three weeks out at a time...figured three weeks, home for 4 days or so with the kiddies, rinse, repeat. I'm really considering Magnum in the future...just want to get a good idea of what to expect. My current company treats me well, but they pay percentage and so far not panning out to pay what I expected.

So much for picking in the middle of the night. Still sitting at Bismarck home improvement store. 2 hours past my appointment no door. About a hour ago they locked up truck entrance and told me yard manager would come and get when there ready. But I'm still looking at a closed gate entrance in their parking lot.

To all my fellow 579 Pete drivers, I have a question. Where do you store your dirty laundry? In trucks past, there was always a place under the front of the bunk where you could slide a basket or duffle. I thought about under the passenger side bunk, then I have easy access thru the sidebox door, but that might be a pain to drop clothes in every day...and in front of the passenger seat would be visable when you check in to places...I am just curious what works for others.

My bag is on the passenger side of the bunk under the bed, I just lift the bunk when I need to. Have my chains there too.

I use a pillow case, store it under the TV at the end of bed.
