Yeah make sure you leave a message for after hours, often you have to wait for a callback or make a second call. They'll work with you on the reschedule.

It happens more frequently in the winter, just had a fuse blow on my system and needed a tow...the SCR system is definitely not perfected yet and its something we have to deal with on these trucks.

Left a message and got let loose five minutes after I called. Ended up only being 15 minutes late. A full reschedule would have sucked (2nd stop on a 6 stopper).

No one is going to ding you on a truck needing an hour regen.
Make sure you are in contact with dispatch and all will be well. I don't speak from experience with Magnum, but with the last two companies I was with, no one would hold tht against you.

What's the deal with washouts? I come from a flatbedder background. WHEN do you know to do a washout? Is it with every produce load or what?

After this Christmas tree load, I think I'm gonna need one. After the first stop I didn't think it was going to be that bad, but after the 2nd, I noticed a lot more needles.

Still no word from Fargo on my next load. Told them Monday that I would be available by noon today with hours to run.

As soon as I get a load I call dispatcher for that region let them know where and when I deliver. Then I call the day before I deliver and ask if they have any plans for me tomorrow and they usually tell me what they are working on

Do we need a pulp thermometer for many loads? At Prime we hauled more produce than here, but they even wanted us to temp check between boxes of frozen products at random.

Often you can sweep out the trailer to remove dust and debris which will be good enough. When you haul poultry for example drippings will require a washout - or if there is a smell in the trailer. No limit on washouts, but they can be a pain to find. If you are not using a Blue Beacon then you turn in the receipt and will be reimbursed.
