SSB, not surr if youbare aware or not, but on your route options on google maps, you can select to avoid toll roads. And like someone else said, you do have plenty of wiggle room on your route. I would choose to do that run at night to avoid congestiong thru major cities, but im a night owl.

So my Christmas tree load sucked. Took 4 hours to get loaded and then the dense fog covered road high up into and out of the high back country North Carolina mountains took forever to navigate ate up precious recapped hours that i couldnt afford to lose. Barely got to the delivery point on time and they only had 2 guys to unload almost 800 water-logged trees, so I decided to get a free work out so I could get home to the wife and kid It took us 4 hours to unload and I am hurting pretty bad today! That was more hard physical labor than i have had in a long time, including from my oilfield jobs! I feel like a spent all day tossing hay, or a 14 mile foot patrol.

At least you got home!!
I'm no longer headed up to Fargo. After I get the second pick up here in Indiana loaded in the AM, I will be dropping this load in Coon Rapids and getting a 3 stopper to San Antonio Tx... They needed this load to get someone else to Fargo. I asked for my transponder to be sent down... Hopefully it makes it on Saturday.
Gonna put the truck in the shop on Saturday. They said it's time for some DEF filter and some other DEF maintenance... I called cause I started feeling a slight wiggle to the steering wheel and it pulls slightly to the right... Some of those sweet Indiana potholes got me I think.... The shop is so responsive and helpful...
Hanging at the Walmart in Merrilsville, Indiana about 1 mile from my 2nd pick up... 4 liquid totes and a pallet of 4 55 gallon drums at the first stop... 11,000 lbs... I hope the second is just as light.... -
I managed to get loaded waaaaay ahead of schedule (according to the shipper). Peoplenet says anytime today between 0800 and 1300, shipper said I was scheduled for 10 am tomorrow. He loaded me anyway, decent folks. Still managed to get 500 miles down the road. Still no word on an earlier appointment or any kind of compensation for the extra time on the load.
As I was pulling out of the gate, my phone rang...my wife, calling in the middle of the day. Turns out something went wrong with her calf, literally popped and she can't put pressure on it...and of course, 2 weeks after I switch jobs and have no insurance...God hates this family (and please, don't start a lecture about how great he is...I know better)...went to the ER, and they did x-ray's and ultrasound, found nothing. She has to go for an MRI next week, they think she tore some tendons in her knee...just when I thought things might be turning around for us...the old 'follow the carrott off the cliff' strikes again. -
