When you are down there by the aquarium there is a restaurant Blue plate on the river,great place to eat.

 

Hey guys, I have read over almost this entire thread over the last few days. I am considering applying and am wondering if you all have any loads in and out of the Nashville, TN area since I live about 30 miles south. I know Nashville is in a major freight lane, but was just wondering about you all specifically. Thanks!

 

Checking out the Coon Rapids terminal...nice place. All the comforts of home except a big puffy couch that sucks the energy out of you so you nap in front of the tv. Poly's management should take a lesson from this example. Everything a driver needs under one roof, and we are allowed to park our bobtails right across from it. Was grumpy earlier, but am mellowing a bit.

 

What's the food options like as far as the coon rapids and the location in nd? Within walking distance? I notice online it says multiple yards across the country? What's the locations?

 

I see an outback from the parking lot, but I followed a trainer and his trainee in, so I came in the back way. I know there is a Wally and a Home Depot close by. When we stopped in Menomonie for a break, the trainer said he was getting supper there because there wouldn't be any decent places still open once we got to the terminal.

Will check in the morning, I am out of almost everything, so I'll explore a bit since I am on a 2 day paid time off.

 

There is the Outback and a good Mexican place across from the Outback in Coon Rapids. If you walk out the man gate at the front of the complex (bring your id badge so you can get back in), turn right, walk down to the YMCA, turn right into their driveway and walk straight, the Outback is on the right and the Mexican is across street to the left. Mexican place has a lot of TVs so you can catch some sports and a bar....
Not much close in Fargo, but you can bobtail anywhere and stay within your 10 miles! Lol

 

I would call the office and talk to Paul. I don't know the answer to your questions. I've never delivered in Nashville. But that doesn't mean we never do. I have met drivers from Tennessee though at the terminal.

 

Just for your information, there's a great movie theater just a couple miles away. I think it's called coon Rapids AMC. Most comfortable seats I've ever seen in a movie theater. Like a big leather lounge chair. There's also a mall about a mile away. If you feel like exploring downtown or going to St. Paul or something you can catch a bus from there. During the summer I went to three baseball games see the twins when I was stuck in coon Rapids for the weekend.
You can park bobtail at the mall just call security and let them know. The bus system is really good in Minneapolis. One bus get you from coon Rapids to right downtown Minneapolis. Then from there there's a light rail system to St. Paul. I am not one to sit around when I have options. Ha ha ha
