Several trucks per day I'm guessing.

 

Went through that truck inspection at Michael's Foods 3 times before they gave me the pink slip. Gave it another full sweep the first time they said no, they said, "no no, you see that?" the second time and pointed at nothing. I said I'd give it another sweep, drove in a big circle, came back through and they said okay.

 

That sucks! Definitely something to share with Chad, they do not want to see their revenue for washouts drop.

 

I know it and I think they know Chad isn't in the office on Sundays.

 

If your going to be there all day just release the brakes. The constant pressure should weaken the ice. I always used a fusee to release mine. A road flare.

 

Here is the conversation between me and the lumper kid at my first drop. Kid: "Alright that will be $94." Me: "You want $94 to pull 5 pallets from the back of a trailer? That's rediculous!" Kid: "Well you can always unload it yourself." Me: "Can I use a pallet jack? I'll have it off and counted in 5 minutes." Kid: "Well it has to be transfers to 10 pallets, so..." I cut him off "So you have an accurate count of what I delivered and the pallets would be inside the warehouse and off my truck. That sounds like your problem." Kid and the 4 other lumpers were speechless.

 

Pay the $94 bucks and go watch tv....

 

Hah yup. I unloaded 4 stops myself when I started and heard about it from 3 people.

 

Verizon must hate it when guys like me have to sit all weekend for a load. Between Friday night and just now, I used over 18gig of data....tisk tisk tisk.

 

Lumper fees are definitely the biggest racket going!
