Doing a favor for dispatch in the morning - trying to get a dead reefer running, should be no more than a jump but we'll see.ncmickey Thanks this. -
Got a be in St Paul at 0630 on the 21st. Shutdown tonight in Indiana, 553 to go. Started snowing and accumulating fast. I figure they should have the roads cleaned decently enough when I leave out around 10. Parking, I got lucky grabbing one of the last spots. Pilot , then to the Petro, and back to the Pilot.

Oh, you know what I find funny, walking into a shipping office and there are a few drivers in there and one makes small talk. Which is great, I like talking to people. But it's 6 degrees outside, he said how's it going, I said a little cold. He says this ain't cold, you don't know cold. And continues this ain't snow. Wait until your tracks are the only one on the road and you have to make your own road. I just smiled, and half heartedly laughed. Nothing worse than a one upper. But later that night my tracks were the only ones on the highway with a snow covered road and it wasn't fun!

Got a little bit of snow in the Chicagoland area. Stayed in Monee, had to deliver over by O-Hell airport. 57 was one lane, kinda see the road, 294 was 2 and 3 lanes, mostly see the road, 290 wasn't bad...then 390 towards the airport was passable at best, totally covered at worst...then the surface streets weren't touched.
In isn't the problem, I have a 9 a.m. pu in Chicago Heights that heads for Alexandria, MN, so empty might be a different story. But hey, I drove an empty Poly truck from the west side of Ft. Worth to Grand Prairie during an icy/snow storm that eventually shut down the citys. And their trucks don't have the greatest traction with those stupid super singles.Ordy19 Thanks this. -
On the home request msg, I am guessing the lines for 'req return date' and ' req return location' is for "returning" home (or to where ever a driver is planning on taking time off), correct?
