Live on I40 in Arkansas. My son is an adult now so I can stay out alot.

I'm also single so that helps also.

How long does it take for the insurance to start?

Hey for all of you CDL recent grads or current students considering Magnum, there is a rumor going about that we are going to start requiring a year of experience or 240 hrs of school - check with recruiting.

I have over a year experience, currently hauling tankers and just trying to get some prospective on what I can realistically expect at magnum. How long are drivers typically out, home time, pay, etc...

They like you to be out at least 2 weeks and prefer 3, you can within reason stay home as long as you can afford, but most do no more than 5 days. Pay is on a performance scale depending on your ave mileage over a 4 month period, safety and fuel economy, I believe the current average is $0.47, but check with recruiting. If you want to get a good feel for Magnum take an hour and read through the thread, it's all in here the good and the bad - some have even shared their 2015 earnings.

Nick asked me a few days ago where I wanted to go, so I said "The South." I face palmed myself when I got sent to Ohio lol. But I headed down to Napoleon with some noodles and back up with some soup. Sitting in CR right now waiting to deliver so I can scoot on up to Barron, Wi. Talked to Chad yesterday and he offered a bunch of places on the east coast and south that are getting hammered right Noel and all I said was "ehhhhhh..." Then he offered Barron to Lansing so I figured that was the best option. It isn't back to Texas like I wanted, but I really hate being around snow and ice in places that aren't equipped for it.
