Anyone know what receiving hours are for the Target DC down the street in Fridley, MN? Trying to get unloaded early.

Unless you need to get to TX for home time, it's not the place to be. I am delivering Monday morning, my next load is Tulsa to Aurora, CO. But it doesn't pick up until Tuesday afternoon. I've tried to be quiet and patient, but these 2000 mile weeks are gonna kill me once the gawd awful high insurance premiums and deductions kick in...there will be checks I might clear $1000 for two weeks...it had better pick up soon, or after my wife gets her leg fixed I may have to search elsewhere...

    That doesn't sound too promising.

Well let's see, from the Twin Cities in MN down I35 to TX, out I 70 to OH and then East (no NY). From Fargo ND out to NC and then down to TX, also some to CO.

We are just starting to do some ID and WA and a little OR. Hope that helps.

My first 60 days weren't to hot either, and my Nov sucked. For those who are reading to learn about Magnum keep in mind SSB and myself are not living in MN or TX or NC so it can impact miles when hometime is taken.

Also for the first 3 months they tend to take some time getting to know you - 2000 to 2500 is a more realistic milage estimate and when you get going after that then 2500 - 2800 is more real. Even staying out the whole month consistently getting 12 is not realistic for many of us, but 10500 to 11000 is doable.

SSB hang in there, you have lots of experience so you will have lots of options if this is not a good fit. Hopefully you and Chad have talked, if not I strongly recommend you give him a call, it made a difference for me.

I haven't seen home since the day after Thanksgiving. I had hoped staying out would help, but it doesn't seem to matter. They are trying their best by throwing layover days here and there, but a $75 layover day doesn't compare to a $200+ driving day. I can't blame the company...they can't poop me a load, and can't make loads appear out of thin air. But with the monthly average I am turning and the pizz-poor fuel mileage this truck gets (winter blend isn't helping either), there is no way I will see any more than .42 a mile until July.

Even though I was off most the week, I only ended up with less than 700 miles, poorsquirrel

Yeah I was wanting to go home for a 34 without requesting home time. November and December were pretty decent for me, but I'm only sitting at 5k mile for this month and a ton of sitting around with very few days of getting lay over pay. And most of my loads were late before I even got dispatched on them and caused even more periods of sitting for 12 hours or so waiting to unload on a multidrop with no layover and no miles.
