Everyone talks about Cabbage/Deadman's but that section of 84 from Baker City Ore to the Idaho border is MUCH worse IMO in winter. Lots of ice, terrible visibility. I did it early morning in the dark last time and about wet myself. It was really bad, but the visibility was so bad I couldn't see a safe place to pull over til I was basically through it so I chugged on at 30 mph.

It looks like I got through just before that accident last night. It was definitely getting slick.

Cabbage isn't all that bad...Baker and 3 mile are worse.

I tip my hat to Nick and a driver named Roger. I chose to avoid the incomming nastyness in WY, and took the eastern route to Moorhead, via Grand Island up thru Norfolk, NE and so on. Ended up being 5 miles shorter than what they paid. I thought I was going to be on the southern leading edge of the latest blizzard. Between Fargo and the cities it was suppose to be getting some freezing rain, but I got there after it turned to plain sprinkles. I got my beer load delivered, got to the yard and topped off the tanks, got my paperwork and supplies and headed for my next load. Nick pulled a rabbit out his hat and found a driver that lives near St. Cloud and got him to pick up my load and meet me to swap trailers. Now I am headed to Fort Worth for Monday, then Matt has a load to get me home. Thanks Nick and thanks Roger for the help...some days things actually work out right...even for me.

Peterbuilt in Findlay, Ohio came through. Got truck fixed when they said. Got a load out of Mansfield up to Fargo. Do sent pick up till Monday morning, I guess I'll be sitting for 2 more days. That's just the way it goes sometimes.
