When the weather cooperates, I 80 across Nebraska is about as easy a stretch of interstate as America has. Magnum probably just feels like it's not challenging enough for their drivers.

And honestly, I have never paid any attention to the company routing. Last I heard, one of the pluses of working here was a certain level of freedom when it comes to choice of routes and fuel stops.(within reason) -
Fort Collins to Bismarck is the only route that I know we are told where not to go. I think it has to do with milage. There would be no other reason. We are legal on approved highways.

Along the I-25 corridor. 6-12" of snow, today till Tuesday. Then high winds after that. Winds start Tuesday night and till Wednesday. Be safe for those of you traveling thru.

Texas is having pneumonia weather. Yesterday in Ft. Worth I needed the apu a/c, overnight I had to switch on the heater. Suppose to get some nasty storms possible as the tail end of that system moves thru down here. Glad I am headed home.(where we had snow flurries a week or so ago... yes, snow flurries in FL)

Ok, it came thru. I will consider it once I get the state to issue my hazmat license. Or discover the meaning of life(knowing the state bureaucracy in FL, it might be a tie for which comes first)Last edited: Feb 1, 2016
mushroom1464 Thanks this. -
Ya' know, I love FL, but, I am attempting to get everything on my license that Magnum requires. It has been 93 days since I started my background check for Hazmat. I was informed that I have no disqualifying offenses on my record. A check of my license number shows my license current, with an "x" endorsement, but they still haven't issued my updated license. Calling my local DMV office only gets me to the same info, the license hasn't been issued. I try to call the state, only to get an automated recording that repeats, then hangs up on you. Then a check at the website shows no pending hazmat applications for my DL number, and no way to email them directly...It might be easier to find the meaning of life, or just find a company that doesn't require hazmat instead of taking another pay cut.
