I can't believe what I'm seeing here. I thought Poly was the worst Trucking gig on the planet.
    Unbelievable

You need to get your eyes checked...I never said Poly was the worst, I've always said coming there was the --2nd-- biggest mistake I made in my career.

At least over here, Magnum has done something the yucks at Poly couldn't do. They puy me in a truck that hasn't broken down in 2.5 months(and counting). Over at 'casa de trashbags', I would have been down at least 3 times, maybe 4.

Again, Poly wasn't the worst job on the planet, and as for my marriage, if it endured Poly...it can handle anything. Besides, the only complaint she has had about me leaving Poly was the lack of free crappy cheapass trashbags, trashbags so thin you could only fill 1/2 way or you had to double bag to keep them from tearing open when the trash guy tried to take them out of the can...but they were free, so....

If I trucked for over 20 years I probably wouldn't come to a company that was governed at 63 1/2 that took trainees.

I guess it's a choice isn't it ? Life isn't a bowl of rose , but to live it always wanting more , and almost always irritable to me is just another form of insanity. No way I'd be trucking if it left me feeling screwed 80 % the time. Forget that.

You may be right. I guess I should have been happy and content at Crete driving a 62 mph truck, being micromanaged to insanity, averaging less than 115,000 miles a year for years on end.

Your right, I should have been happy at Poly, enjoying all the wonderful scenery as seen from the shoulder of the road waiting on my next new best friend coming in a service truck to fix my truck yet again. Or been happy riding in the front seat of yet another tow truck that is hauling me to yet another wonderful shop for repairs. Maybe I should have been happy with all the wonderful loaner trucks I had to schlep my belongings into week after week, truck after truck.

Better still, I should be happy and cheerful that my wife has to do without me while I am earning this wondetful $650/wk take-home pay.(which may drop some after my 4 month review the end of March)

You see, I am not like you. I cannot be happy and content with rose colored blinders on stagnating in the same job with a company because I can't make a decent living elsewhere because I live in a location that is an undesirable location for employers to hire from, and stay, not because I love it, or because it's the greatest, but because I have medical needs that require I am home every month, and no one else offers similar options.

Unlike you I strive for better, not just for me, but my family as well. Sometimes that means trying and failing. But at least I have the balls to try.

Why? Many many companies train and have governed trucks. What other options would you chose?
