Ah, you are correct, sir. .38 cpm is minimum pay once on the Pay By Performance system.

I always have to ask the trainees what they're getting these days. Some of them don't even realize they get a $3,000 sign up bonus. It is still $3,000, ain't it? Bet it goes up again though.

Was .30 cpm and $1000 when I started. No pay by performance either, different pay system, you really had to run hard as a rookie to make some coin. Much better now.

 

It's .40 min now

 

You know, morale might be better around here if they let a guy know when he just got a raise.

 

Just a little FYI for those of us that have the newer '16 trucks that have the disabled CoPilot smartnav display and the suspension gauge that shows more pressure than the compressor is set to build. There is an update available. I tethered my truck to my phone and updated, now my phone pairs with the Bluetooth of the truck, both on phone and media, my CoPilot works, and my suspension pressure is now reading like it should, or at least like the earlier models read. The voice command function is still not working, but the voice recorder works. If you have access to any free WiFi, you can connect to it and it will use it to update when you hit the MobileCare app. It takes about 10-15 minutes to update once it's done downloading.

 

After following this thread since its inception in November 2014, I have decided to make a monumental career change by exchanging a cubicle for a cab.

Magnum Logistics will (hopefully) be adding me to its ranks of professional drivers, soon. I spoke with Paul for quite some time this afternoon and, barring any catastrophe with my background check, I will be leaving for orientation as soon as a trainer is available.

What is a ballpark figure on a monthly health insurance premium for a single guy?

Is the drawer under the refrigerator in a 579 tall enough to hold canned goods, jars, hot sauce bottles, etc..?

Do the terminals have any facilities for otr drivers passing through? Laundry room, showers, etc?

What day of orientation is the driving test?

Thanks, Walter. Congratulations to you, too. I don't know when I'll attend orientation, because Magnum needs to conduct my background check and call me with the results. My hope is that I'll either be in the same Orientation as you, or sooner. Since trading my suit and tie for flannel and jeans, I'm flexible enough to leave as soon as tomorrow
