Got to Green Sustainable in Aurora IL early, we can park over night here. Went in to let them know I was here, told me they could load me (day early). Ok. Nice and easy run to Kay chemicals. Maybe get in a 34, been on recaps for 11/2 weeks.

Joey can usually reschedule your delivery at Kay a day earlier also.

About them headlight bulbs. Hope you didn't touch them. A fingerprint will cause them to pop. Halogens, heats that little bit of oil up. Use a paper towel when changing.

What kind of idle % do you guys have? I'm at 10.07% which I don't know is good or bad. I saw the message about the collective fleet idle time being around 9% so I suppose I'm a ltitle higher than average. I try to be concious of my idling. Admittedly I often leave the truck running if I know I'm gonna be starting it right back up, (opening/closing doors, sliding tandems, quick check of map or gps, etc..)

Can any of you explain the long idle / short idle and idle threshold of 00:05? I'm at 3.66% long idle and 6.42% short idle.

7.43%. Long 2.66% short 4.77%. I think the difference between long and short is the 5 minute threshold, over 5 min is long I guess.

My last company, hauling Flatbed short-sleeper utility poles with the worst sleeper EVER short of a coffin, no APU, no niothing, called me in August after 4 months in Arizona, Texas and New Mexico in summer and told me to chill out on my IDLING. My reply: "I'll start sleeping in 120 degrees when you come down to my truck suck my toes."

Never heard back, never got dinged.

Seriously, We HAVE an APU. If your A/C or heater isn't working, it's legitimate to call in for a service. If it's so cold/hot your APU won't do the job...that should be a rare event, unless Baby Jesus just has it in for your ###!
