It's what we, as in I and the head accountant, worked out years ago. Sent a message out to the whole fleet afterwards. Put item on expense column with method of payment. i.e. lumpers-tcheck, toll-cash, scale-cash, etc. That way everything is covered, no need to get confused.

Don't know who you talked to but if they now want it done different, they better had tell us trainers or they can just put up with a whole fleet of guys doing it my way.

I'll grant you that they are easily confused though.

Sorry to resurrect a post from a few hundred pages ago, but my recent experience in Wahpeton differs enough to describe what happened to me.

That "scale" that's around the corner from the loading docks may have been by the bales of hay when radioshack was there, but those bales of hay have quickly dwindled to barren ground, thanks to production. So, there were no bales of hay near the scale, but there was a foot of mud where I needed to turn around.

Regarding load locks, the "empty" trailer I picked up didn't have load locks in it, so I had to use three of the four I carry. Moreover, since I didn't have six load locks, I couldn't leave three in the "empty" that I dropped there.

Finally, has anyone who has loaded out of there noticed that the loads are extremely top heavy? The first curve I took with that "wood" sure woke me up in a hurry. It didn't help that the wind was blowing 50 - 60MPH sideways, either.

    Stay safe Everyone.

Next time just go straight and take rights around the building. There is a small sign where to turn.

Thanks, Oor! But, the sign couldn't have helped me the day I was there... The driver before me took it out, as in, made it part of the landscape. I still have remnants of the mud on my right front tire.

Ah paduan it comes with an understanding of the Force...

All kidding aside I appreciate the thought, but it's just about doing the miles and putting into to action the advice so many here have given me...

You're on your own, Nick came thru. Drop the OK load in Fargo go back to another cold storage on the other side of the interstate in Grand Forks and load going to NC.

Plus, whomever gets trailer 1143062, you can thank me later. The air-ride was Waaaaaaaay out of adjustment. Looked like a pseudo-muscle car from the '80s. Air bags were maxxed out. The bracket that hooks to the suspension wasn't adjusted correctly after they put new brake chambers on it. Had it fixed before I dropped it, no matter how grumpy I get, there are very few people I would stick with a screwed up trailer....I just don:t have it in me to knowingly drop a defective trailer....you're welcome in advance

Well I wouldn't know, my trainer never had me scale a load. So never had to deal with scale tickets while I was training.

Reload in pendelton OR on Monday afternnon (will they load early) @1600 going to Grand Forks for Thursday. Then reload for NC on Friday. I hope I csn find somewhere around Kent to park rcv says no overnight parking. With loading time I can't start my clock till after empty. I still will need to do 200 miles when loaded.
