Big day for me today...674.9 miles grossing 78.5k. Had 1 minute left on the 11. Who says you can't turn miles on e-logs. I do miss my 68mph Poly truck though, well, at least the speed it was allowed, not the truck itself. We were allowed to log 714 miles per day there.

Big day for me too... Matter of fact my biggest ever...
678 miles and 4 minutes left on the clock...
If I can do 630 tomorrow I can squeeze a night at home before my Tuesday AM delivery....

Since we occasionally post pictures of food on here, does anyone have a good recipe for crow? Because after this week, I may be eating a couple helpings of it, and maybe humble pie for dessert.

This is the positive news I hinted at earlier this week.

Part of my new found positive vibe comes from the phone call I got from Chad this week. I got my 4 month evaluation this week, and an apology for it being a little later than normal. All along I have been keeping track of miles, fuel mpg etc. to kind of predict if I was going to be due for any kind of pay increase. From the numbers I had noted, I truly didn't see any possible way that I would be making any better money per mile than what I started at. Hence the grumpy, then grumpier mood I was in. I honestly couldn't have been more wrong. He gave me the figures he had, and they seemed a little more generous than mine.(not that I am complaining) In the end, I got a raise...a significant raise at that, retroactive to my 4 month anniversary date last month. So, for the next 3 months at least, you get to hear me gripe and complain about my experiences here,(at least a little now and then to keep in practice) because I am making the exact same per mile as I was the last 6 years I was at Crete. Hopefully I'll be making more miles here than I was over there, so that should limit the BMW'g some.

I just have one question for the experienced Magnumites here...do they serve that funny tasting Koolaid at the cult initiation meetings? :biggrin_2559:

So now I am ready to chow down on some crow (which beats the taste I have now after I have put my foot in my mouth so much lately)

Got moving early this morning out of Kay Chemical, got up to mm 20 before the 81/77 split. Highway closed past the 24mm. Took 50 min from there to turn off on to hwy 52. Another 1 1/2 hour to 81. So much for time management.
