Her is a grand day for you. Finished my last drop on a Jenni- O load this morning at Safeway in Roanoke, TX. Got a broker load out of Dangerfield, TX. Atlas roofing, shingle load. Pick up at 15:00, got there 15 min early, they have you scale in. Check in with receiving, told to go to end of building and wait in line. Fine got loaded and out by 20:30.
Oh buy the way. It rain so hard that the ramp to the loading platform was up to trailer doors. Got on my way, had a little time on this trip I took a scenic route, 271 towards Paris, TX. Got past Deport,Tx, road flooded. About 1 1/2 - 2 feet of water running over the road. Sat there for 2 hr. Finely got a dot guy to help me back up the road, about a mile. He gave me a route to take to get me to Paris. This guy had no clue on how a big truck turns. No a very fun detour. Between the speeding ticket, tight ### Jenni- O load and this flooding. I'm ready for home time along with a reason to get hammered. Be safe out there people.

You know how many of my 6 months here have been over 11k? ------ 1 -------- and I have 1 under 9k and 2 more under 10k (actual miles, not with added ghost miles). If I accidentally got a month over 11k, the following month would be 7k.

Got to Gaylord and my drop and hook turned into a live load... Didn't have a empty trailer to load... I guess they were ahead and there is several Magnums back there loaded and the drivers ain't here yet...
Oh well.. Got plenty of time to get to NC....

Ashley got me set up at the Red Roof Inn at the Magnum rate. Probably gonna hit up the Fargo planet fitness, then relax until tomorrow morning when time to get back on the road.

Nick is hands down the best dispatcher Magnum has. He bends over backwards to get you home when need be, and actually cares about drivers.

Correction, he CAN be the best. And yes, he has helped me get home, I will give you that. And when I have plenty on my 70, he does pretty good. But, when I am on recap, I am usually the one bending over, and not backwards. 3 times this month alone, on recap, I got crap loads, even though I knew I had hours to do better runs than what I was given. 1 time I had a good load, he called and claimed that it's load time got moved up a day. I said I could still make that, but he had already given it away. (A buddy probably called and puckered up and I lose). My reward, a 34 and a 300 mile run. Last week, after my round trip from Grand Forks to Bismarck and back, I get a load to OK with waaaaay too much time one it. Said to check in with him the next day to see if anything better gets booked, which I did...he said no at first, then admitted he forgot about me and 'poof' a decent load magically appeared. Then this week, I was offered a 1000 mile 2 day run, but after I agreed to drop my Fargo run on the yard and skip a 34, my load then gets picked up and will be brought to me, cutting 225 miles off of my load. So now I don't get a 34, and I get crap miles, so now the rest of this next pay period, I have to bust balls just to catch up...which seems to be all I do.

The grass is NOT greener elsewhere....6 of the previous 7 months I have NOT cracked 10,000 a month. Usually I fall into the 8900-9400 range. At 50cpm it covers the bills......

There are a lot of long term drivers at this company, it sucks that you aren't getting what you want but do your time and show you can produce then you will.

The problem with that hypothesis, I have been producing. Every f'd up schedule they can throw at me I figure a way to work it legally. And the seniority thing, how do you explain those that hired on here recently getting 11-12k. If I remember, you went thru orientation a week or two before me, but had to ride with a trainer. So as a full time driver, I actually have more solo seat time than you, but don't get nearly the miles. I don't know, and to be honest....I am starting not to care if they run me or not...keep my record clean, get my wife healthy then bale out, then some seat warming driving school rookie can have my place, and I can go work for a company that doesn't have to rely on training their own in order to keep seats filled. A company that appreciates and trusts experienced the drivers they hire.

Tony has started posting new hire's names and trucks. What have we had in the last couple weeks 4, 5? I can't imagine they are expanding the fleet that many per week/month, so drivers are leaving for some reason.

You've you've been otr long enough that people quit and they fill the seats.

Get on with RA Jeffereys or trash company that hall dumpsters, I'm looking into that now.

And yes I have heard they are trying to expand.
