A wise friend of mine has vetted this company. Take a look.

Yeah I think you would have to fight Walmart for that one.

I agree, if it's miles, it's miles. It's when you do nothing else for over a month, hitting every snow storm in the region with rediculously tight deadlines that makes it bad. I'll take them again without pause, but I'll definitely make sure that I don't get caught in that loop again for long.

Per diem is fine by me as long as they're not charging me to do it.

Example, the first company I drove for tried their best to get new drivers to sign up for their per diem deal. It worked like this. Let's say you started at .30. If you signed you up for their deal, your pay would be .28, but their selling point was your net pay would be more every week.

Sure, that's true, but you're still getting screwed out of .02 cents a mile because you can take the per diem deduction yourself at the end of the year at no cost (other than opportunity cost).

You'd be surprised how many drivers fell for that deceptive practice.

If that's what Davis does, I'll scratch them.

If they're simply deducting the per diem from my taxable income every week without charging me to do it (it benefits them too), then I'm okay with that. That just means I get to keep my money instead of loaning it to government for a year.

Be aware that don't offer family coverage for health insurance. I look at them as well but I couldn't do that.

They do not charge for it but it is optional.

Yes, they told me that. No problem there. My wife has her own.

They also don't allow riders or pets. I'm ok with that too.
