Magnum ltd - fargo, nd

Yea, 3 weeks out, then home. Get miles out and miles home. And run like hell in between.

 

What did I miss?

 

Now see, this is odd. Because when I was more than a week away from my scheduled hometime, I was offered a west coast run, but after I said I would take it, but mentioned that I would have to push out my eta home a week or two...the load was un-offered because they didn't want to 'catch hell' from someone else in the office for not getting me home on time.

 

I am going to be busy until I do get home. I deliver in NW Indiana this morning, then pick up a broker load that they're having me drop in CR, pick up a load on the yard and drop it in Fargo. Then wait for a load coming from Jamestown that is headed for Newnan for Thursday. I was originally suppose to pick the Jamestown load up. I even specifically asked whether it was being brought to me like last weekend or if I was suppose to go get it, I was told I was picking it up, plans changed, and NO ONE communicated the change to me. I only found out because the load I am bringing to Fargo is coming to the ltl warehouse on the yard, but it has Monday's date, but no time. And I just asked if that warehouse is open on Sunday or if I was just to treat this load like any other load that we drop, and put the bills in the nosebox. I was told to drop it like usual, and then informed that my load would be there Monday...but that was the 1st I'd heard about the plans changing. Had I not asked about the drop load, I am pretty sure I would have been left in the dark about my Jamestown load until after quitting time when my load info I was expecting, never showed. Don't get me wrong, I am happy with the miles on these loads, I am happy with getting home ahead of schedule...I just wish that the channels of COMMUNICATION worked both ways here. I know he is busier than a 1 legged man at a butt kicking contest...but if plans change...tell me goddamit. If I failed to communicate like this, I would have weekly phone calls from management trying to correct me.
