Now that I'm almost home I have calmed down.
Not getting home on time sucks.
Messing with a drivers home time is a cardinal sin.
But it IS trucking so #### happens.






However I still prefer to refer to my job as "being the batman" instead of "trucker".

Sitting at the Sheetz travel center in Mt Jackson VA. 2 hours left on my 70. Will get my 34 in before delivering on Monday.

Walmart in Auburn IN threw a monkey wrench in my get home machine...but I will overcome it. 4.5 hours to unload, which made me late for my pickup...which added some additional time. End result, I didn't get out of IL today. Tomorrow will be a long day. The nag-a-gator says it's 407 miles from me to CR, then another 240ish to Fartgo by tomorrow night. Do-able, but I can't waste any drive time with 44k in the box.

 

Something like this, I almost went there last year, same pay probably, but home weekly, they're about 20 miles away from me...

 

Question to you guys, If you put in for reimbursement for something you had to pay for is it normally taxed? I'll have to look at my pay stub again tonight but it looked like to me they gave me the reimbursement but it was taxed so i didn't get anywhere close to the amount that I was told would be paid back to me. Also if that's the case what is the point of offering reimbursement if they just tax you double for it.

That's a great question for accounting, they will gladly answer it - just ask, that way you get the real poop...
